Andrew Calof (b. 1978 Minneapolis, MN) is a studio executive, photographer, filmmaker, artist, husband and dad. Born and raised in Minnesota, Andrew graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with degrees in Business Finance and Communication Arts.
Andrew moved to Los Angeles in the fall of 2002 to pursue a career as a director of photography, but soon found his way into the creative executive ranks overseeing films for major movie studios. His love for photography has always been there. In 2012, Andrew bought his first Leica, and the rest was history.
With his M6 or M10-P in hand, Andrew has been fortunate to see the world, meet people from different facets of life, and make pictures. There is something incredibly pure about observing. Moments will unfold all around us, and it’s the photographers job to capture those moments in the blink of an eye that tell a truth. His style lends itself to lifestyle, landscapes, travel, and portraiture photography.
When not shooting, Andrew works for Wayfarer Studios as President of Production & Development, is an avid tennis player, enjoys building Legos and collecting fountain pens. He lives with his wife Amanda and their two daughters, Sylvie and Estella in Sherman Oaks, CA. Everyday before heading off to work, he grabs his keys, wallet, phone, and of course…his camera.
